Style Sense has its origins in 2001 when Joanne Donson first applied her extensive fashion industry background to become an Image Consultant & Makeover Specialist. The business came into existence to bring out the star quality that exists in all of us and this is the core principle that is applied when we show both men and women how to make changes to transform themselves; aligning how they look with who they really are and aspire to be.

Joanne’s professional experience as an Image Consultant & Makeover Specialist and qualified Make-Up Artist comes from:

Managing a well-known Auckland Model Agency for almost a decade where she was involved with:

• Training models in deportment, personal presentation, film & television techniques, catwalk and posing;

• Promoting models and co-ordinating the supply of talent to clients for various advertising media;

• Co-ordinating Shows and Events

• Providing training in personal presentation and development of corporate wardrobe to businesses to raise professionalism and create a competitive edge. 

Involvement in a private tertiary organization as a Make-up tutor for a Make-up Artistry and Production Design course for several years complimented the skills gained during her time with the model Agency.

This unique career skill set is complimented by Joanne’s experiences as a Mother of two, which was the real catalyst for the formation of Style Sense, as she went on her own journey of discovery to redefine herself as a person and a Mum. All of this provides very tangible credentials to anyone on their own journey of discovery seeking to make a change in their life and acquire the tools to do it.
